IP Network Engineer

 

·   Serve as 3rd level escalation support to the Network Operations team and technical support to the Service Activation Center for multiple private networks containing over 6,000 Cisco nodes. Includes after-hours support and 24x7 on-call rotation.

·   Troubleshoot, identify, and implement fix action to more in-depth or critical network issues.

·   Install, configure, and maintain routers and switches (access and core) including fractional and clear-channel T1, as well as E1, T3, OC3, VRF, MPLS, route maps, prefix lists, NAT, ACLs, VPN tunnels etc. Limited experience on Cisco ASA 5515 configuration and troubleshooting.

·   Consulted for several new business pursuits including logical and physical design, hardware and/or software implementation, and SOPs.

·   Authored, tested, and implemented dynamic routing on a pilot datacenter and its spoke sites. Modeled and configured critical network artifacts in SNMP monitoring system and Solarwinds Orion.
